2012 NFL Mock Draft: CBS Sports Has Texans Going Defense With Dontari Poe

Recent mock drafts for the Houston Texans have been leaning toward the team taking a wide receiver to compliment Andre Johnson. However, over at CBS Sports they have had the Texans taking the same player in Memphis Tigers nose tackle Dontari Poe. Their latest projection from both Rob Rang and Dane Brugler are the same. Their reasoning is to shore up the run defense and to provide some much needed depth along the defensive line.

Poe is definitely not a bad selection for the Texans since they do need to add depth to their defensive line and with how they were bit with the injury bug in 2011 too much depth is a good thing to have. Listed at 6-feet-5-inches and wighing 350 pounds Poe could be used similar to Terrence Cody of the Baltimore Ravens to clog up the middle and force the offensive line to use two lineman to block him.
