The Houston Rockets are still chasing after Orlando Magic big man Dwight Howard; the team is reportedly trying to use veteran center Marcus Camby as trade bait, according to CBSSports.com.
The Rockets are open to moving Camby in a sign-and-trade deal to stockpile more draft picks that they can deal to the Magic for Howard, according to the report.
Houston's desire for future draft choices is what led the club to move point guard Kyle Lowry to Toronto for a future first-round draft pick, according to the report.
Camby canceled a visit with the Heat this weekend, but is set to visit with the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets in the coming days. Camby remains interested in joining the Heat as well.
The Magic continue to discuss Howard trades with several teams, including the Nets. The Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks have also shown an interest in making a deal for Howard, according to reports.
Howard has continued to insist that the Nets are the only team with which he will sign an extension. The Rockets are reportedly willing to deal for him without a guarantee that he will extend his time with Houston past the 2012-13 season.
