The Texans are a playoff team for the first time in franchise history and landed two offensive and two defensive players to the AP All-Pro second team.
Jan 6, 2012 - The Houston Texans made the playoffs for the first time in franchise history and by doing so they had four players named to the 2011 AP All-Pro team, two on offense and two on defense. The four players to be named to the second team were running back Arian Foster, offensive tackle Duane Brown, linebacker Brian Cushing and corner back Johnathan Joseph.
Foster finished the season as the No. 5 rusher in the league with 1,224 yards and missed three games this season. In yards per game Foster finished second with 94.2 yards per game and was only behind Jacksonville Jaguars Maurice Jones-Drew who averaged 100.4 yards per game.
Cushing was 15th in tackles for linebackers with 115 tackles, plus he had four sacks, two interceptions, broke up seven passes and forced two fumbles. Joseph was a shutdown corner that was able to get four interceptions in 2011.
