Franchise-record 4 Texans voted to NFL All-Pro Second Team

HOUSTON â€" Four Texans players were honored for their individual performances this season by garnering NFL All-Pro honors on Friday.
Texans left tackle Duane Brown, inside linebacker Brian Cushing, running back Arian Foster and cornerback Johnathan Joseph were named to the Associated Press All-Pro Second Team.
It marks the first time in franchise history four players earned All-Pro recognition.
Brown and Joseph are making their first appearance on an All-Pro team, while Cushing (2009 Second Team) and Foster (2010 First Team) are two-time honorees.
The All-Pro Team is determined by a 50-member media panel, with one vote cast per voter award and for each member of the All-Pro team.
Brown protected the quarterback’s blindside for the NFL’s second-ranked rushing attack and tied for the fewest sacks allowed by any starting left tackle in the AFC with two.
Cushing, voted as the team’s Most Valuable Player by his teammates in a resurgent 2011 season, led the defense with 114 total tackles and two interceptions.
Foster followed up his breakout performance in 2010 with another impressive campaign despite battling a hamstring injury for the first three weeks of the season. He was elected to the Pro Bowl for the second consecutive season and led the NFL in scrimmage yards per game with 141.6. Fosters was the only running back in the NFL to have two 100-yard receiving games in 2011.
Joseph, who signed with Houston as an unrestricted free agent from Cincinnati prior to the season, is the first Texans defensive back to earn All-Pro honors. The sixth-year veteran led Houston’s pass defense with four interceptions and 15 passes defended.
