Can the Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies regain their composure and become forces in Big 12 play? We'll find out on Wednesday as the bitter rivals square off.
Jan 9, 2012 - Just four weeks ago, Billy Kennedy and his Texas A&M Aggies basketball team had just one loss on their record and were sitting comfortably in the various polls and rankings. Four weeks later, the Aggies have lost four of their last five, including two in conference play, and Texas A&M has already begun thinking where is their season truly headed?
For the Texas Longhorns, last year saw them finish No. 8 in the AP Poll and two of their best players (Tristan Thompson and Cory Joseph) go play in the uncertain future of the NBA. Now in this 2011-12 campaign, Rick Barnes overcame a slow start and reeled off 7 straight wins. However, losing two out of their last four has taken the wind out of their sails a bit.
Now the two teams will prepare to face off on Wednesday, just hoping to stay in the Big 12 hunt for an at-large bid for the big dance in March. Here is the AP's Top 25 rankings for week 10:
