Luis Scola scored 14 points to help lead the Houston Rockets to a 50-47 lead at the half over the San Antonio Spurs. Houston hit half of its field goal attempts in the first half despite going just 1-10 from three-point range.
Scola knocked down 7-13 attempts in the half. Kevin Martin and Kyle Lowry scored 10 points each with Lowry also handing out four assists.
Tony Parker led the Spurs with 10 points at halftime hitting 5-6 shots. Tiago Splitter came off the bench to score eight points in 12 minutes of action in the first half. Tim Duncan finished the half with six points and five rebounds.
Both teams shot over 50 percent in the first half with Houston earning some extra opportunities with some solid board work. The Rockets took a 21-15 rebounding advantage into halftime including an 8-1 lead in offensive rebounds.
