The Houston Rockets lost both games to the Oklahoma City Thunder in back to back nights, the latest loss was a 98-95. The Rockets had chances to win in this game, they actually led the Thunder by 12 points with three minutes left in the third quarter, but then the Rockets let the Thunder comeback and tie the game heading into the fourth quarter.
Houston had a 92-95 lead with 90 second left on a pair of Luis Scola free throws. Those would be the last points that Houston would score on the night. The Thunders' Kevin Durant ended up scoring the final six points of the game to defeat the Rockets 98-95.
The Rockets offense had chances to win the game but Chandler Parsons missed an open three-pointer 13 seconds left, but the Rockets got the ball back after it went out of bounds off of a Thunder player. With another chance Goran Dragic missed a 12-footer and then sent Durant to the line. Down three points and a chance to tie the Rockets never got a shot off as Dragic threw the ball away on the Rockets final possession.
Even though Scola and Dragic had season high in points at 28 and 20 apiece, the Rockets were not able to hold onto their lead and defeat the Thunder. This loss was the Rockets fourth in a row and now they are sitting at a 2-6 record on the year.
