Texas A&M's struggles continued on Wednesday night as they fell to their rival, the Texas Longhorns, 61-51 in Austin. The Aggies have now lost three straight and five of its last six contests to fall to 9-6 and 0-3 in the Big 12.
A&M got a game-high 19 points from forward Khris Middleton who also logged a double-double with 10 rebounds. Elston Turner added 13 points and David Loubeau 10 for the Aggies. Texas A&M hit just 39 percent of its shots and went 8-16 from the free throw line in the game. They were also sloppy with the basketball committing 17 turnovers.
Texas was led by Julien Lewis' 16 points off the bench. Lewis hit all three of his three-point attempts and was 6-10 from the field. J'Covan Brown finished with 14 points thanks to 10-10 shooting from the free throw line. Clint Chapman added 11 points in the win. Texas improves to 12-4 on the season and 2-1 in the Big 12.
