The 26-47 San Diego Padres go to the 30-42 Houston Astros on Monday after taking the series over the weekend versus the visiting 31-43 Seattle Mariners.

SD struck in two runs during the bottom of the fourth Alexi Amarista's ground rule double for the only runs at Petco Park Sunday afternoon.

Earlier Sunday the 37-34 Cleveland Indians fell 7-1 in Houston. The Astros spotted Cleveland a 1-0 lead and then ripped the game away with a four-run eighth inning for the series win. Houston squared things up on Chris Johnson's RBI-single. Carlos Lee's RBI-single put the Astros ahead during the top of the sixth. J.D. Martinez, who homered during the bottom of the eighth, grounded into a double play an inning earlier to tally a Houston run. The Astros also scored on Johnson's two-run HR during the eighth.

6-5 Wandy Rodriguez with a 3.29 ERA tries to avoid a third loss at Minute Maid Park with a gem on Monday. The 39-32 Cincinnati Reds and 31-39 Kansas City Royals rocked Rodriguez for 11 runs, nine earned, during 12 innings in his last two appearances in Houston. The Astros just won three of his first seven trips to Minute Maid before June beating the 24-48 Chicago Cubs, 43-29 Los Angeles Dodgers and 39-33 New York Mets by allowing two runs during 21 innings.
 
The Padres are 9-for-26 with three RBIs on Rodriguez who duels with 1-0 Ross Ohlendorf and a 4.50 ERA on Monday. Ohlendrof has a win at the 33-38 Milwaukee Brewers and tosses 5.2 innings giving up four runs during 5.2 innings to the Bay Area clubs in San Diego losses. Houston is 10-for-44 with eight RBIs on Ohlendrof. The Padres don't score much where as the Astros score a lot. Going with Houston.
