NBA Draft 2012: Trade Rumors Swirl Around Houston Rockets - SB Nation

The 2012 NBA Draft is slowly but surely creeping closer, and although most basketball aficionados have been watching the finals, there's still plenty of buzz happening when it comes to the new class of rookies. It's difficult to say where exactly the players will go considering there are plenty of workouts still planned, but the trade rumors are in full blossom.

One of the teams reportedly willing to make a deal are the Houston Rockets, according to Jonathan Givony of Draft Express. The Rockets currently own the No. 14 and 16 picks, but it likely won't stay that way, according to a tidbit Givony included in his most recent mock draft.

This pick is widely assumed to be in play, as the Rockets have a number of young prospects on their roster and may not be looking to bring two more rookies into the fold. Regardless of whether its them making the pick, Tyler Zeller is a safe bet to come off the board at this stage, as he's simply too big, talented and productive not to have an impact on someone's rotation.

The Rockets are likely going to need to invest in a Kyle Lowry replacement just in case with one of their two first round picks, but the second could look pretty attractive if a team's interested in picking up a guy that starts to fall on draft night.
