Texas Rangers Vs. Houston Astros 6/17/12: Tyrone's Free MLB ... - Sports Chat Place

The 39-27 Texas Rangers used a late rally to roll past the 27-38 Houston Astros 8-3. Texas trampled in five runs during the sixth and two more during the seventh inning to come back from a 3-0 deficit with a vengeance. Adrian Beltre's and Ian Kinsler's singles drove in three runs as one swing by Nelson Cruz, a home run, also scored three Rangers.

Michael Young's seventh-inning sacrifice fly put Texas ahead 7-3. Houston hammered in their first run on a longball by Jed Lowrie during the top of the first. Justin Maxwell's and Jordan Schafer's base hits during the fifth inning drove in two more Astros. Houston fell behind by another run when Mitch Moreland doubled in David Murphy.

The Astros throw out Dallas Keuchel for his first start of his career on Sunday. Keuchel didn't pitch any in college and was born on January 1, 1988 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A name to keep in mind for the future duels with a face of the past and present 5-5 Colby Lewis and a 3.13 ERA. Surprisingly Lewis, 32, is just 43-43 for his career in the big leagues.

Lewis' career wins and losses match his season numbers of 5-5 beating the 32-32 Arizona Diamondbacks, 34-30 Chicago White Sox and 36-28 Tampa Bay Rays at home. On May 15 the 28-35 Kansas City Royals became the first and only team thus far this year to hand Lewis a loss at Rangers Ballpark 7-4. KC drilled in seven runs, two earned, during 5.2 innings.

Texas is 4-2 altogether when Lewis throws in Arlington. Houston is 15-for-66 with six RBIs, three each from Chris Johnson, Carlos Lee and Lowrie, versus Lewis. I'm not going to lie to you I know nothing other than what I wrote about Keuchel and with the Astros' awfulness against Lewis in previous at-bats I'll wager the Rangers to lay down a beatdown.
