Courtney Lee is finally going to the Boston Celtics.  The Celtics traded JaJuan Johnson, E’Twaun Moore, and Sean Williams to the Houston Rockets in order to acquire the shooting guard.  The Celtics have been trying to add Lee all offseason and they were finally able to pull it off.

I like this move for the Celtics. Â They get another guard and a guy in Courtney Lee who can develop into a pretty good player for you down the road. Â The Celtics have certainly retooled the roster in order to keep fighting in the Eastern Conference. Â Courtney Lee adds to the guard rotation, which was a weakness last season.
The Rockets end up with a very intriguing prospect in Johnson. Â As a man who watched every single game that Johnson played, I feel like a bit of an expert on his game. Â He is going to have to get stronger, but I think he may have maxed out his frame. Â He is going to have to be a stretch 4. Â He can shoot the ball and block shots, but he will get bullied on the block by anyone with some bulk.
This move might be a move that makes the Celtics the second best team in the East.  They are deep at every position now and they look like a team that will fight for a title for the next year or two.  The core may be kind of old but they are surrounded by good young talent.  That is what you need in today’s game.  Courtney Lee is going to be a good one.
