Texas A&M Vs. Oklahoma Final Score: Aggies Win 81-75 In Overtime Over Sooners

The Texas A&M Aggies defeated the Oklahoma Sooners in a back and forth game that went to overtime, where Texas A&M ultimately won 81-75. Oklahoma looked to be in control in the first half as they led most of the way and had a lead of eight with 5:20 left in the first half, but Texas A&M made a comeback to tie the game at the half at 34 apiece.

The second half saw each team exchanging leads of four to five points until things tightened down when the score was tied at 60 with 5:07 left in the game. The teams exchanged points the rest of regulation and Texas A&M had a chance to win the game but Elston Turner missed a three-point shot with 40 seconds left. Kansas had a chance as well with two seconds, but Steven Pledger missed his jumper with two seconds left.

In overtime Texas A&M was sent to the line 12 times and made nine free throws and that was the difference in the extra frame. Texas A&M outscored Oklahoma 16-10 in overtime to win 81-75. Texas A&M was led in scoring by Elston Turner who scored 23 points.
