If the Miami Heat's "Big Three"… - Space City Scoop

Everyone remembers when LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh came up from the ground and announced they would win multiple championships together. If they don’t win tonight they may not even win one championship.

Bosh played in game 5 for the first time since being sidelined in game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. He played in just 14 minutes scoring 9 points and grabbing 7 rebounds. He looked like a shell of himself and i don’t expect him to make a significant impact in tonight’s game. The Heat have lost three games in a row and if they don’t figure something out soon they will be going home in a few hours.

Bosh doesn’t get the credit he deserves and after seeing the Heat struggle so much in the paint on both sides of the floor people are starting to notice how valuable Bosh really is. This is a guy who carried the Toronto Raptors to the playoffs twice virtually by himself. He’s a 7 time All-Star. Has a great jumper, can drive to the basket and is decent on the defensive end. He doesn’t have much of a post game but he makes up for it with his shooting and slashing to the basket. He reminds me of a small forward on the offensive end. This season he averaged 18 points on 48% shooting, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in 35 minutes a game. His best season came in his last year in Toronto when he averaged 24 points on 51% shooting, 10.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1 block in 36 minutes a game. This is a guy who can be the face of a franchise and could lead your team to the playoffs single handedly.

If the Rockets have a chance to trade for him, should they attempt it? Definitely. In my opinion he is the most skilled big man in the league after Pau Gasol. He would be a major upgrade over Luis Scola who took a step back last season and isn’t getting younger at the age of 32. Bosh only averaged 3 points and 1.5 rebounds more than Scola this season, but don’t forget that Scola did that as the number one guy on offense for the Rockets. Bosh is the third option on the Heat. If Bosh was a number one option again like he was on the Raptors he could average anywhere from 22-28 points a game along with 10-12 rebounds a game.

Houston could offer Scola, point guard Kyle Lowry and either one of the first round picks or another role player for Bosh. Lowry has asked to be traded from the team if coach Kevin McHale remains. With Dragic’s breakout season i think the Rockets should grant him his wish.

Could you imagine paring Bosh with Dragic and possibly Pau Gasol or Dwight Howard? For now Rockets fans can only dream, but if the Heat fail to win a championship for the second consecutive season heads will start to role.
