The Houston Texans have signed undrafted free agent quarterback Case Keenum,

Apr 30, 2012 - Case Keenum is no stranger to the Houston scene, having lit-up the scoreboard for much of his tenure at the University of Houston as their record-setting quarterback.

Now, he has a chance to extend his stay in Houston, as he has agreed to join the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent.

Many projected Keenum as a potential late round draft choice, although after hearing his name go uncalled during the NFL Draft, he'll have to fight his way onto the Texans 53-man roster against stacked odds.

He's likely to compete for the third quarterback position behind starter Matt Schaub and second-year man T.J. Yates, who played well in spot duty during the 2011 season.

For now, a chance is all that Keenum can hope for, and he believes Houston is a good situation for him to succeed in, "It just felt right. I'm really excited it's happening this way."
