Ja'Braylin Thomas picks Houston over Baylor and LSU.
May 17, 2012 - The Houston Cougars just received a big time commitment from the seventh best center in the entire country.
Ja'Braylin Thomas, listed at 6-6 and 320 pounds gave a verbal commitment to play his college football for the Cougars after reportedly having scholarship offers from Baylor and LSU. He joins quite an impressive recruiting class for the Cougars. Houston Chronicle writer Sam Khan Jr. has more on the football program's incoming class:
Thomas is the fifth verbal commitment of the 2013 class for Houston. He joins Bellaire running back Denzell Evans, Shreveport (La.) Evangel Christian tackle Josh Thomas, Baton Rouge (La.) Redemptorist receiver Donald Gage and Southlake Carroll kicker Ty Cummings in Houston's 2013 recruiting class.
Thomas hails from Weimar, Texas which sits about 90 miles to the east of Houston. Based on his other offers, it appears that Thomas made the decision to remain closer to home once his college football career begins.
