Houston needs to find some offense if they're going to snap a nine game losing streak on Saturday. Unfortunately for the Astros, they'll be facing All-Star snub Zack Greinke, as the Brewers look to crawl back into the NL Central race.
Milwaukee won the opening game of the three-game series headed into the All-Star break on Friday night, winning comfortably 7-1. Friday's game represented the third time this week that the Astros scored one or fewer runs, as the team was shutout on Sunday and Thursday as well.
Greinke, as always, is a tough assignment for any team. The talented ace, who could very well be changing his uniform soon, brings a 9-2 record into Saturday's contest, to go along with a 3.08 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and .251 BAA. As always for Greinke, his SO/BB ratio is stellar, as he's struck out 106 batters on the year while walking just 24 in 108 innings of work.
Wandy Rodriguez, who also might very well end up changing teams by the end of the month, gets the nod for Houston. Rodriguez is currently 6-6 with a 3.54 ERA and 1.23 WHIP. Rodriguez' last win came on June 14, nearly a month ago, when the Astros beat the Giants 6-3.
First pitch is scheduled for 3:05 p.m CT at Minute Maid Park. Televised coverage can be found on FOX Sports Houston.
