Jeremy Lin has reportedly agreed to sign an offer sheet from the Houston Rockets for $28.8 million over four years.

Lin, who became a worldwide phenomenon with the Knicks last season, cannot sign the offer sheet before July 11.

Yahoo reported that Lin would make $5 million in the first year of the contract, $5.2 million in the second year and $9.3 million in each of the third and fourth years three. The deal includes a team option in his fourth year.

The Knicks have pledged to do whatever it takes to keep Lin. After the offer sheet is signed, the Knicks would have three days to match.

The 23-year-old point guard from Harvard averaged 14.6 points and 6.2 assists before a knee injury prematurely ended his season in March.

In that short time, he skyrocketed from utter obscurity to global fame.

His jersey went from not even being sold in stores at the beginning of the season to being the second-best seller in April, only behind former MVP Derrick Rose's jersey.
