Starting Pitchers
Roger Clemens (2006-2008)

Accomplishments: Cy Young Award Winner in 2004. Two-time All-Star (2004, 2005). Third in Cy Young voting in 2005. Franchise’s ERA leader.
Best year: 18-4, 2.98 ERA in 2004.
Larry Dierker (1964-1976)
Totals: 137-117, 3.28 ERA. 1,487 strikeouts to 695 walks. 2,090 hits in 2294.1 IP. 106 complete games with 25 shutouts.
Accomplishments: Two-time All-Star (1969, 1971). Threw a no-hitter in 1976. Third in franchise history in victories. No. 49 is retired by the Astros.
Best year: 20-13, 2.33 ERA in 1969 with 20 complete games and four shutouts.
Mike Hampton (1994-1999, 2009)

Accomplishments: Two-time All-Star (1993, 1997). Fifth in Cy Young voting in 1997. Threw a no-hitter in 1993.

Best year: 18-13, 2.71 ERA with 19 CG, four shutouts and an NL-leading 313 strikeouts. (Note: Richard had a 1.90 ERA in 1980 when he suffered a stroke, which ended his career).
Nolan Ryan (1980-1988)
Totals: 106-94, 3.13 ERA. 1,866 strikeouts to 796 walks. 1,441 hits in 1,854.2 IP. 38 complete games, 13 shutouts.
Accomplishments: Hall of Famer. Two-time All-Star (1981, 1985). Two top-five Cy Young finishes (1981, 1987). Threw a no-hitter in 1981. Twice led the NL in ERA (1981, 1987). Twice led the NL in strikeouts (1987, 1988). Franchise leader in strikeouts. No. 34 is retired by the Astros.
Best year: 11-5, 1.69 ERA with five complete games and three shutouts in strike-shortened 1981 season.
Mike Scott (1983-1991)

Accomplishments: Cy Young Award winner in 1986. Three-time All-Star (1986, 1987, 1989). Cy Young runner-up in 1989. Tenth in MVP voting in 1986. Threw a no-hitter in 1986. Led the league in strikeouts, ERA and shutouts in 1986. Led the NL in wins in 1989. No. 33 is retired by the club.
Best year: 18-10, with league-leading ERA (2.22), strikeouts (306) and shutouts (5) in 1986.
Don Wilson (1966-1974)

Accomplishments: 1971 All-Star. Threw two no-hitters (1967, 1969). No. 40 is retired by the Astros.
