Most of the mock drafts have had the Houston Texans selecting Memphis Tigers nose tackle Dontari Poe to make their already great defense even better. However, offense has been a slight concern this season for the Texans, particularly at the wide receiver position which showed its lack of depth when Andre Johnson went down this season.
Sports Illustrated recognizes that and has the Texans selecting a wide receiver with their first round pick:
27. Houston Texans -- Mohamed Sanu, WR, Rutgers
The Texans are looking for a tall, fast receiver and the 6-2 Sanu will add a needed dimension to a productive offense. Sanu had 115 catches last season, and could move up if he comes up with a dazzling 40.
A speed guy would help compliment Johnson and the Texans passing game and help make their offense more complete.
