The most recent 2012 NFL mock drafts have had the Houston Texans selecting a wide receiver, and the most common selections were Michael Floyd of Notre Dame and Rutgers Mohamed Sanu. The latest mock draft from The Sporting News has the Texans taking a different wide receiver:
26. Houston Texans: Juron Criner, WR, Arizona Wildcats: With Andre Johnson out much of the season with hamstring problems, the Texans' passing attack really struggled. So they grab the vastly underrated Criner-who has good size (6-3, 215), deceptive quickness and rare hands-to play opposite Johnson.
The Texans are in desperate need of a second wide receiver to help out Andre Johnson and Matt Schaub and Criner was one of the better wide receivers in the Pac-12 where he had 75 receptions for 956 yards and pulled in 11 touchdowns.
