Michael Dixon has poured in 16 points off the Missouri Tigers bench to give Frank Haith's basketball team a commanding 42-23 lead over the Texas A&M Aggies at the half in the Mizzou Arena.
Dixon, along with Marcus Denmon's 10 points and 7 rebounds have helped the Tigers keep the pedal on the medal versus the Aggies. Texas A&M thus far has been out-rebounded 21-10 in the first half and are just 8-26 (30.8%) from the field. Ray Turner has come off the bench to give the team 6 points and 4 rebounds thus far.
Billy Kennedy's crew have been unable to find any offensive chemistry, as the entire team only has two turnovers to go along with nine turnovers. A 19-point deficit is large, but not insurmountable. Threes would help, but the question of if there are legitimate shooters on this squad is a concern.
The Aggies are 10-6 this season, 1-3 in Big 12 play, so another loss could be crippling to any hopes they had in making the NCAA tournament in March.
