  UAB’s Robert Williams connected on a three-pointer to beat the final horn in overtime and give the Blazers a 61-60 win over Rice Wednesday in Tudor Fieldhouse.
The Owls, who led by as many as 17 points in the contest, saw that lead slip away after going ice cold from the field in the final stretches of the second half
 Senior Connor Frizzelle led Rice with 17 points as Rice fell to 11-8 overall and 2-2 in Conference USA play.
The Owls could face time without star forward Arsalan Kazemi who injured his knee but returned to play.Â
