Sam Houston State Vs. North Dakota State Halftime Score: Defenses Reign, Bearkats Lead 6-3 At The Half

In both semifinal games for the Sam Houston State Bearkats and the North Dakota State Bison both teams were able to score over 30 points in their victories to get to the final. In the final, points have been a scarce commodity as three field goals are all that's on the board thus far.

Sam Houston State leads North Dakota State 6-3 in the 2012 FCS National Championship.

North Dakota State has been plagued by two costly turnovers, as a fumble in the first quarter and an interception by Brock Jensen in the second quarter slowed down the Bison attack. However, Sam Houston State was unable to convert on the turnovers, as a punt and a turnover on downs effectively nullified the Bison mistakes.

Bearkats tailback Tim Flanders has been the lone offensive star thus far, rushing for 65 yards on 11 carries in the first half. North Dakota State will receive the ball in the second half as a champion will be crowned shortly.
