The Houston Texans have added two new faces to their final week of Organized Team Activities.

The team has signed Justin Forsett, the running back from Seattle and Alan Ball, a player who Wade Phillips coached in Dallas during his tenure as the head honcho for the Cowboys. Ball and Phillips have a rapport that could allow him to make the team; though fans of the Texans would be ecstatic if he never touches the field.

Barring injuries, the teams’ top players in the secondary rotation are set in stone. Johnathan Joseph and Kareem Jackson will man the corners and Brice McCain will enter the fray in nickel packages.

Second year cornerback, Brandon Harris is expected to make an impact this season after a limited rookie campaign. Harris, combined with Sherrick McManis, Ball and Roc Carmichael will compete for a spot in certain defensive packages.

Ball could fulfill a need at safety as well. He has played there for Dallas.

Forsett has been a quality backup for three years in Seattle, occasionally starting often times making plays. Forsett has 1,287 career rushing yards and has averaged 4.6 yards per carry during his time in the NFL. Forsett adds depth and experience to a position that was already a strength for Houston. Most-likely, Forsett will back up the running back tandem of Arian Foster and Ben Tate.

Forsett could be expected to be a good special teams player. He also provides great depth. He could step in and be a competent third down back if either of the top two backs go down for a substantial amount of time due to injury.
