After the first quarter of play, the Charlotte Bobcats lead the Houston Rockets by a score of 23-20 in Time Warner Cable Arena. Each team is trying to snap a losing streak. The Bobcats have lost three in a row and the Rockets have lost four in a row. The Rockets are looking to improve their record to 3-6 and the Bobcats are looking to improve their record to 2-7. The Rockets are currently 0-5 on the road.
The Rockets were led by shooting guard Kevin Martin, who scored eight points in the first quarter. Chandler Parsons scored six, Luis Scola scored four and Patrick Patterson added two off the bench. For the Bobcats, Derrick Brown and Gerald Henderson scored four and D.J. Augustin scored two. D.J. White, Matt Carroll and Kemba Walker combined to scored nine points off the bench.
