Fans travel to Baltimore for Texans game

BALTIMORE, Md. -

Texans fans began arriving in Baltimore in droves ahead of the AFC semifinal matchup on Sunday.

Brandie and Kevin Peeples, from Clear Lake, prepared for Baltimore's cold weather.

"Oh, this is huge! We've been season ticket holders since 1999," said Brandie Peeples. "This is our 100th game, so, we're very excited."

Brandie said she always believed the Texans would make the playoffs, even during the losing seasons.

On Sunday, the Peeples will brave M&T Bank Stadium for the game.

Stadium workers were busy preparing the stadium for the game on Friday. Fans had already polished the toes of legendary Baltimore Colts quarterback Johnny Unitas' statue, which many touch for good luck.

But despite the amount of purple in Baltimore, the Peeples aren't worried.

"It doesn't bother us," said Kevin Peeples. "We're going to be sitting on the front row, section 103, where the Texans come out."

"I'm just trying to take it all in and see some friendly faces," said Brandie Peeples. "I don't know what it means. This is what we've been waiting on for 10 years, so it's very exciting."
