Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars: Live Score, Video and Analysis - Bleacher Report

The Houston Texans roll into Jacksonville as favorites to hand Maurice Jones Drew and Co. their second defeat of the season.

The Jaguars lost to Minnesota in an overtime nail-biter in Week 1, while the Texans looked listless for much of the first half against the Dolphins before tuning up the machine and scoring three times on three consecutive turnovers to close out the half.

For the Texans to be successful against the Jaguarsâ€"and really, this applies for every game this season, not just today's game against Jacksonvilleâ€"they'll need the kind of performances they got in Week 1 from Brian Cushing and J.J. Watt, a second-year player who has become one of the absolute best defensive players in the league. And Cushing has become the de facto leader of the defense, almost solely by virtue of his intensity and ferociousness on the field.

MJD is one of the best running backs in the leagueâ€"once you start referring to a dude by his initials, you know he's pretty goodâ€"but he's still warming up after missing most of the preseason due to a contract dispute. Still, he managed to rush for 77 yards on 19 carries in Week 1, so he'll be a threat the Texans must contain.

I firmly believe the Texans will have an easier time than the odds indicate, but that's why they play the game. Also, I'm terrible at actually predicting scores, so consider this a warning not to put too much stock in the numbers I'm about the write down.

PREDICTION: Texans 28, Jaguars 13

I'll see you back here at 11:45 a.m. CST for the start of my Texans/Jaguars live blog.

Here are a few Texans vs. Jaguars previews to get you prepared for the gameâ€"that's if you haven't already started drinking and are beyond the point of reading comprehension at this point, of course.
