HOUSTON - The Houston Texans may be in danger of losing quarterbacks coach Greg Knapp, who joined with head coach Gary Kubiak and offensive coordinator Rick Dennison in doing a fabulous job with the team's quarterbacks.
Auburn is interested in Knapp since the Tigers are looking for an offensive coordinator.
However, Knapp hasn't coached in college since 1994 with Sacramento State.
NFL teams that are or could be looking for an offensive coordinator in the near future like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Oakland Raiders, Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos may also come calling for Knapp.
He has plenty of experience as an offensive coordinator in the NFL.
Knapp was the offensive coordinator with the San Francisco 49ers (2001-2003), Atlanta Falcons (2004-2006), Oakland Raiders (2007-2008) and Seattle Seahawks (2009).
Along with working closely with Texans starting quarterback Matt Schaub until he was injured, Knapp played a key role in the development of rookie T.J. Yates, who started the final five games of the regular season and two games in the playoff.
